The updated Savary Island Official Community Plan is underway. The Vision, Goals, and Policies of Savary’s OCP will ideally capture the collective voice of Savary property owners.

 

We are now in Phase Five of the OCP development process. The document had its first reading on May 26. Regional District Planners will be finalizing the draft based on public engagement to date plus information gathered at the Pop-Up Plan sessions on three Savary Market Tuesdays: July 14,  July 28, and August 18. There is an online survey launching June 30 and will run until the end of August. Second reading of the document, and public hearing will not be scheduled until after the October 2026 municipal election. Stay up to date on the project website: www.qathet.ca/savaryocp
